Sweta Badiger is a final year B.Sc. student. She attended the cloud computing course for three months conducted under the program by TMI. She hails from aunderserved community and lives in a family of 5 members. Her father is the only bread earner in the family. She has an elder brother who is also a graduate but has no work opportunity. Being the second sibling, she considered it as her responsibility to finish her graduation and be able to earn for the family in order to lend a helping hand to her father. Seeing her brother struggling with employment opportunity she was apprehensive of finding one for herself. She was excited to know that her college was one of the chosen colleges to run the IBM cloud computing training, free of cost. She attended the induction session and soon after enrolled herself to the program. She shares that the training conducted was very relevant to the IT industry and she is obliged to IBM, NF and TMI to provide her with opportunity to up skill herself into one of the future skills. She has successfully completed the course and has been placed with Indian Money. She is very happy and shared that her parents are also very happy about it. She further would like to continue with her studies through correspondence parallel with her job.

Aishwarya Pandith is a final year B.Sc. student. She attended the cloud computing course for three months conducted under the program by TMI. Aishwarya in her interaction shared that before the training, she had an introvert personality. She was shy and found it difficult to speak to people and had major fear of public speaking. She had no ambition of working after graduation and had no career ambition. She further shares that she participated in the IBM training by chance, as all her batch mates were, and not by choice. But with time she started liking and admiring the knowledge that she was deriving out of the training. She specially emphasized on the activities conducted in the soft skill training that has helped her change her personality type. She thanks her training for understanding her areas of improvement and guiding her in coming out of the fear of public speaking. She feels that she is a much more confident person now and is ready to talk to anyone. Giving presentations or talking in public does not stop her in her endeavors any more. Starting from no career ambition to finding a job Indian Money as, Trainee Data Analyst Aishwarya has indeed has come a long way.

Dr. CF Mulimani, principal of Karnataka Science College, Dharward, shares that the program was a much needed intervention for the students of this college. The training ran for 3 months on skill sets that are relevant in the future IT industry. The students in the college belong to under served community and come from rural areas. Proving industry standard exposure to such students is a boon for the college and the students. He highly appreciates the effort put forward by TMI, NASSCOM Foundation and IBM towards this program which has led to placement of 110 students from the college.
